Della Savia RoyDELLA SAVIA, Roy - It is with broken hearts that the Della Savia family announces the passing of Roy on September 1, 2018.

Roy’s strong faith in God and inspiring outlook on life carried him through his fight against Glioblastoma Multiforme with grace, love, and an even greater zest for life.

Survived by his wife, Anna Maria D’Aquila, the love of his life.

Exceptional father to Francesca.

Beloved son of Argia (Antonio). Treasured son-in-law to Vittoria D’Aquila.

Outstanding dad and best friend to Coco, the family dog.

He will be remembered by his family and friends for being an exceptional father and husband, as well as for his incredible smile, sense of humour, contagious laugh, obsession with fitness, passion for lifelong learning and teaching, and huge heart. May he rest in peace.

Visitations will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home, Toronto on Wednesday, September 5th, 2018 from 2pm – 5pm and 6pm – 9pm. The funeral mass will be at St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Avenue West, Toronto, ON) on Thursday, September 6th, 2018 at 10am. Roy will be laid to rest at Thornhill.

In memory of Roy, donations can be made to the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research (Sunnybrook Foundation).
