Pozdrowski RobertPOZDROWSKI, Robert Leon  - Rob passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with heart failure at 69 years of age on September 2, 2018, at Toronto General Hospital, surrounded by his family.

He was dearly loved and will be missed by his wife Murdene, sons Matthew and Alexander, sister Bernice (Brian), brothers-in-law Lindsay (Jane), Sandy, grandsons Jacob and Marcus and nieces and nephew Leslie, Stephen, Heidi, Melinda and Jackie.

Rob attended Brebeuf College and spent his last year of high school at Bayview Secondary School.

He attended the University of Toronto graduating with an honours degree in English Literature and Philosophy, acquiring an M.Ed along the way.

Rob went on to a long and successful teaching career in York Region and was for many years Head of the English Department at Richmond Hill High School.

Rob loved life in the country and lived for many years with his family on a small hobby farm in King Township caring for horses, donkeys, dogs and cats. He was devoted to his family and never missed a horse show or hockey game with his sons. After retirement, he involved himself in volunteer work in King Township and Toronto.

He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, mentor and gentle soul.

We would like to thank the caring doctors, nurses and staff of the heart failure team at the Toronto General Hospital, Peter Munk Cardiac Centre.

If you wish, a donation in Rob's name to the PMCC would be appreciated.

A private family burial service was held on September 7th.

Friends are invited to share their memories in a Celebration of Rob's Life on October 6th from 2-5 p.m. at the King Heritage and Cultural Centre, 2920 King Rd., King City, ON.
