Kaine CarolynKAINE, Carolyn Ann  -  On September 6, 2018 at the age of 90.

Carolyn Kaine (nee Wyers) died peacefully at St. Lawrence Lodge in Brockville after a lengthy battle with dementia.

Carolyn met her late husband, Thomas Kaine, in New Brunswick and they married and settled in Toronto in 1950.

She leaves behind her daughters Candace (Gerry Sullivan) of Brockville and Julie (Reg Boyce) of Rockwood and her beloved grandson Cameron Boyce (Tamara) of Guelph. While in Toronto, Carolyn worked at Pressure Castings, General Electric, D.S. Scott, Bell & Howell and the York Public Library.

She especially loved her time at the library. Carolyn was predeceased by her siblings, Myrtle Bunce, Frederick (Ted) Wyers, Shirley Thomas, her twin brother Cail Wyers and Ronald Graeme (Sud) Wyers. She was loved by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends of all ages.

Our mother was outgoing and had a great sense of humour. She also loved cats and had a number of pets over the years. Although not someone who embraced formal religion, she tried to live a caring and ethical life and was always ready to help.

We want to thank friends and relatives who kept in touch in later years and most especially Carol and Tim Savage of New Brunswick and Chris and Vanessa Wyers of California. We also want to acknowledge the caring friendship of her cousin Alice (Toogie) Barbarie, Doug and Betty Anderson and Sheila Bridge.

There will be a celebration of life for Carolyn at Irvine Funeral Home, Brockville, Ontario on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 1:30 until 3:30 p.m. with family and friend tributes at 2:30 p.m.

We would love to see you there.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lanark Leeds and Grenville Alzheimer Society or the St. Lawrence Lodge Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
