Murnaghan ElmerMURNAGHAN, Elmer Stephen  - It is with heavy hearts that we announce Elmer Stephen Murnaghan's passing on September 15, 2018 in Toronto.

Husband to Janice (Williams) for over 65 years.

Father of Beth (Jim Stein), predeceased by daughter Jane (2018), Mike (Liz) and Jim (Sharon). Grandfather of Eric, Jessica, predeceased by grandson Stephen Jay (1987), Riley, Haley, Becky, Matthew and Marnie.

Great-grandfather of Pascale. He was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Mini and his siblings James, Eunice, Teresa, Vince and Melvin. Steve was born in Tarantum, Prince Edward Island on December 25, 1926.

Steve spent countless hours volunteering for the Saint Vincent de Paul Society for many years, making lifelong friends along the way. Steve will also be missed by his nieces and nephews from Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario and Alberta as well as his extended family including Dr. Paul Byrne (Janet) and Ena Mulligan. He appreciated the spiritual guidance received from Minew Wong over the last few years.

Steve's legacy will be his unconditional love and that he treated all he met with respect.

Visitation at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, Etobicoke, Ontario, on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Funeral at Saints Martha and Mary Catholic Church, 1870 Burnamthorpe Road East, Mississauga, Ontario L4X 2S5 on Saturday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m. Reception at the church hall. Interment to follow in Mississauga, ON

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saint Vincent De Paul Society.
