After a short battle with cancer, Alex passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
Beloved Husband of 49 years to Marion.
Loving Father of David (Susan), Alastair (Stephanie) and Colin (Alison).
Beloved Grandpa of Owen, Beatrice, Hudson, Evan, Lucas, Lucy and Keira.
Dear brother of Eleanor (Peter) Rudner, Sheila Bradley, Mary Brown and brother-in-law of Michael and Veronica Paton and Monica Paton.
Beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews, cherished friend of many.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Alex was a teacher, Cub leader, diehard Celtic supporter and proud piper. The sound of his bagpipes will echo in all of our hearts forever.
Family and friends will be received at Pine Hills Cemeter & Funeral Centre, Scarborough, on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Alex's memory to the Terry Fox Foundation.
