McCarthy RonaldMcCARTHY, Ronald  - Ronald "Ron" McCarthy quietly passed away on January 3, 2019, at the age of 87.

A Toronto native, Ron began his career with the Toronto Fire Department in 1954 and retired 38 years later as the Assistant Deputy Chief.

Always active, Ron also played goalie for the Department's hockey team.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years June (nee Bond), daughters Donna and Lynda (Jim), grandchildren Alexandra (Nick) and Sabrina (Dwayne) and great-grandchildren Brielle and Nicholas.

Ron was predeceased by his sister Shirley.

We welcome you to gather for a drop-in, open house, visiting period on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 3-7 p.m. at the Chapel of St. John's Norway Cemetery & Crematorium, 256 Kingston Road.
