VERNA, Giovanna 'Jennie' (nee Donatelli) - In her 95th year, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2019 at the Mackenzie Health Palliative Care Unit in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
Faithful and caring wife of Francesco Verna (predeceased).
Loving mother of Josie (Brian) and Mary (Adelmo).
Beloved and cherished Nonna to seven grand-daughters, Michelle (Josè), Ann-Marie (Matthew), Katherine (Gerrard), Joanne (Rudy), Laura (Kevin), Marie-Elena (Stan) and Mary Francesca (Eddy) and proud Bisnonna to 17 great-grandchildren.
Mom was small in stature but was larger in life and an inspiration to all of us. She never stopped learning, loving, giving or caring despite her many medical setbacks. With a great trust in Jesus and La Madonna, she met every challenge using her gifts of intelligence, courage and spiritual fortitude. We all love you so much.
Family and friends may call at the Jerrett Funeral Home (6191 Yonge Street, North York, Ontario, south of Steeles Avenue on the east side of Yonge Street) on Friday June 28th from 2-4 and 6- 8 p.m.
Funeral Mass Saturday June 29th from St. Paschal Baylon R.C. Church (92 Steeles Avenue West, Thornhill, Ontario). at 9:30 a.m. Private family Entombment Highland Memory Gardens.
