SELVALINGAM, Chandravathana 'Chandra' (Rajaratnam) - Passed away peacefully with her family closeby, on Wednesday, July 17, 2019.
Chandra leaves her loving family with the legacy of a strong love of good food, a wry sense of humor, and the joys of music and singing. She was always quick to tease, quick to teach, and quick to love.
She is survived by, and will remain forever in the hearts and memories of: her husband of 66 years, Panchalingam Selvalingam, her children Kamalini (Kamal), Kumudhini (Kuckoo), Surendralingam (Suren), her grandchildren Prashanth, Kartiga, Krishna, Hari and Anusha, and her children-in-law Kuga, Raj and Manjari.
Visitation will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Saturday, July 20th, 2019 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm and on Sunday, July 21st, 2019 from 8:00am - 9:00am. The service will take place in the chapel at 9:00am. Cremation. A reception will be held at the funeral home from 12:00pm - 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the fundraising efforts towards the Toronto Tamil Chair.
