MARANGONE, Teresa (nee Bertolini) - With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Teresa Marangone on Friday, July 19, 2019 at the age of 95.
Teresa is now reunited with her late husband Terzo and son Mauro. Beloved mother to Antonietta 'Toni' Tacconelli (Renato) and Loren Marangone-Rossi (Anthony) and mother-in-law to Karen Marangone.
Cherished grandmother of Christina (David), Alex, Alexandra, Max, Mia and Cristiano.
Teresa was a hard working and devoted wife, mother and Nonna. Born in Italy in 1924, she came to Canada in 1958 to provide a better life for her children. Her independent nature and devotion to her Catholic faith helped to provide strength during the loss of her husband in 1991 and then her son soon after in 1993. A birthday party was recently held to celebrate her 95th birthday and this brings comfort to her family that they could all be together. Teresa's infectious smile and easy going nature will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family wish to extend special appreciation to the staff at Villa Colombo - Vaughan for their dedicated and compassionate care.
Friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Tuesday, July 23rd, from 5-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Margaret Mary Church (8500 Islington Ave. Woodbridge) on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Villa Colombo - Vaughan would be appreciated.
