CRAWFORD, Thomas Benson - 82, passed away on Tuesday August 13, 2019 surrounded by his loving family at The Villages of Riverside Glen in Guelph.
Predeacesed by his beloved wife of 59 years, Hazel, he leaves behind his 3 children Beverley Ryder (Robert), Patricia Armstrong (Sean), and Michael Crawford (Karri).
Tom is survived by his siblings Betty, Chickie, Mary, Jeannie, Margaret, Dorothy and George.
Predeceased by his siblings Millie and David.
Loved by many neices and nephews.
Cherished by his Grandchildren Kimberley (Steve), Michael (Debora), Kevin (Heather), Robert (Diana), Heather (Wade), Sally and Sierra and adored by his many Great Grandchildren Victoria, Stephanie, Peter, Paolo, Massimo, Vanessa, Noah, Joshua, Joseph, Amelia, James, Sean and Anthony.
Tom was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord with all his heart and lived his life according to his Word. Tom loved to express his devotion to the Lord through song quite often.
Tom was a member of the Royal Canadian Engineers as well as an employee of Canada Post. He also served as a valued and highly respected Boy Scout leader and an exuberant soccer coach. Tom's passion was always helping others as well as teaching others valuable life lessons. He not only touched other's lives, he shaped lives through his love, compassion and determination.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff and residents at The Villages of Riverside Glen for their wonderful care and compassion for Thomas over his last few years.
Services for Thomas will be held at Brampton Funeral Home and Cemetery, Brampton on Wednesday September 4th, 2019. Public visitation at 12pm, funeral service at 1pm with burial to follow. Reception to follow after burial. All are welcome.
