PORTER, Edna Allison (nee Murley) - Edna Porter, age 95, died peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre August 16th, 2019.
Survived by her Son Greg (Susan), grandchildren Chris (Britton) and Jake, and also brother Roy (Cynthia).
Predeceased by her husband Len, her brother Don (Evelyn), and her parents Rev. Samuel Murley, and Mother Eileen.
Edna was a bookkeeper for many years and found a love for collecting antiques when she worked for Ward-Price Auctioneers in Toronto.
Edna loved her garage sales, both hosting and attending and accumulated quite a collection of various items. She also loved knitting and made many baby outfits and blankets that went to lots of local families after she moved out of her home of many years in Newmarket.
A celebration of Edna’s life will be held at the R.S Kane Funeral Home, Toronto on Friday, August 23rd. Visitation from 12:30 to 1:30, with service following.
In lieu of flowers donations to Southlake Regional Health Centre or The Alzheimer Society in her memory would be much appreciated.
