Murerji ShontoshMUKERJI, Shontosh Kumar - December 25, 1929 – September 6, 2019 - It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, Shontosh Mukerji on September 6, 2019 in his 89th year.

Beloved husband of the late Padmini Cynthia Mukerji (nee Raju), cherished father of Neel and Dev (Amy), and devoted grandfather to Sam, Robyn, Jasmine, Abraham, Hazel, and Naomi.

Shontosh is predeceased by his parents Sarat Kumar and Shukumarie, sisters Prithi (Anil Kumar), Jyotsna (Pritham), Kanon (Anil Kumar), Amoy (Sushil), Sujatha (Debidas), and brother Nishith (Shefali).

Shontosh found great joy in being with his extended family in Canada, the United States, and India and will be dearly missed by all.

Shontosh was strong in his faith and an active member of the St Matthew’s of Islington community for forty years.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Westbury nursing home and Tapestry retirement home for their care and friendship to Shontosh over the last few years.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 13th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Hogle Funeral Home, Etobicoke. Funeral service on Saturday, September 14th at 10:00am at St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Islington, 3962 Bloor St W, Etobicoke. Burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Red Cross for hurricane relief would be appreciated.
