Stone SylviaSTONES, Sylvia Claire (Riley)  -  (April 25, 1946 – October 12, 2019)  -  After a short battle with cancer, Sylvia passed peacefully at home with her husband and children around her.

Beloved wife of James (Jim) for almost 54 years.

Loving and supportive mom to Susan (Mark Higgins), Barbie (Mike Aabo), James (Catharine), Jennifer (Craig Hynds) and Shawn (Crystal).

Fun, playful nana to 9 grandchildren – David (Jodi) Dudley, Jacob and Thomas Higgins, Samara and Jason Aabo, Kenja, Maddex, Abigail and Wyatt Stones and 2 great grandchildren – Jacob and Emma Dudley.

The most important thing to Sylvia in life was her family. She was a dedicated wife, mom and nana to all of us.Sylvia left a mark on everyone she met throughout her life; always a smile on her face, as well as open arms and a heart full of love.

Mom and Dad enjoyed 50+ years of camping at Killbear Park, many cruises, a winter home in Florida and a cottage on Georgian Bay looking directly at Lighthouse Point. As well as many spontaneous road trips.

She will be greatly missed, and we will all feel a huge void in our lives.

Private family service on Wednesday, October 16th.

“Thank you Mom for being you”
