BOYD, Barbara - Passed peacefully at Victoria Village, Barrie on October 16, 2019 at the age of 83.
Predeceased by her husband George (1995).
Mother of Stephen (Cindy Grant) and Andrew (Leslie Anne).
Grandmother of Samuel and Shona, sister of Ruth Schuler, Fawn Currie and the late June Marlett.
Barbara was born in Toronto and moved to Barrie to raise her family, where she later taught English at Georgian College for 25 years.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, Barrie on Monday, October 21st, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the time we celebrate Barbara’s life in the Chapel at 12 p.m. Following the service, guests are invited to a reception in the Lounge. Private family interment will follow on Tuesday at Etobicoke.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
