FOSTER, Chris -Passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019.

He was born September 7, 1941 and grew up in Cheltenham, England. In 1966 he embarked upon the next phase of his life and moved to Canada.

He arrived in Montreal, settling initially in Windsor for a year.  He then moved to Burlington where he lived for almost 30 years, and finally to Toronto. Chris was involved in both residential and commercial real estate for most of his life. He worked at numerous firms including Guaranty Trust, Midland Doherty in oil and gas investments and his own real estate firms.

He was very active in all kinds of sports and hobbies: rally car driving, diving, photography, skeet shooting, squash, hockey, downhill skiing, fishing, lawn bowling and amateur radio. He was also a Freemason. One of his most favourite pastimes was boating which he started pursuing in England and continued here in Canada.  He enjoyed sailing and racing  both larger boats and dinghies, then power boats when his health wouldn’t allow him to sail any longer.

He wintered in Puerto Vallarta for many years and for the past few years Suncity, Arizona, where he enjoyed lawn bowling, creating jewellery and stained glass. Chris always believed in making the very most out of life and being as helpful as he could be to anyone he met. He leaves a huge void in the lives of his partner of 42 years Ineke Sutherland, his son Grant Foster and daughter Wendy Foster. Godspeed Chris.

Visitation will be held at Cardinal Funeral Home, Bathurst Chapel, Toronto on November 16, 2019 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM. The service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 PM.
