BASHAR, Shahla Bashar - Transitioned peacefully surrounded by her family on January 19, 2020 at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Kamran Ehsani, her daughters Sorraya Hemeci Rowley and Keyanna Ehsani and her two beloved grandchildren Kai Vincent Rowley and Avina Shahla Rowley.

Shahla will be remembered as a beautiful, brilliant, generous, courageous and devoted mother, wife, aunt and sister who always went above and beyond for her family and friends.

She was an accomplished professional who could do it all: Agricultural Engineer, Certified General Accountant and ultimately a successful Real Estate Broker and business owner. She was also an active member of her community - she was the recipient of the Ethnic Press Council of Canada Honorary Membership Award for her remarkable contribution during her volunteer work as a member of the board of directors of the Canadian Society of Iranian Engineers and Architects (Mohandes).

Shahla’s aura was unmatched, her kindness boundless, and her laughter magnificent and contagious. She was the glue that bonded her family together and the center that everyone gravitated towards.

Her life was a living example of one of her favourite quotes: “love is my gift to the world. I fill myself with love, and send that love out into the world.” – Dr. Wayne Dyer  Shahla’s transition leaves a great void in her family and in her community. She was loved and respected by all.

Visitation will be held at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, Toronto on Thursday January 23 rd, 2020 from 3pm to 5pm.

The family would like to express deep appreciation and gratitude to the wonderful staff at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre for their dedicated and compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests you consider a donation in Shahla’s name to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
