Seeboo LenaSEEBOO, Lena Elizabeth (nee Ramsaran) - Lena Elizabeth Seeboo returned to Jesus on January 26th, 2020 at the age of 72.

She is remembered lovingly by her husband Lakeram, her children and their families: Mark and daughter-in-law Diana, Tyron and daughter-in-law Jennifer along with their two children Aaron and Rachel.

Lena was immensely proud of her family and leaves nothing behind but good memories.

Lena was born to Mike and Margaret Ramsaran Feburary 13th, 1947 in Georgetown, Guyana. As a child she was a quiet but friendly girl who excelled in her studies.

Lena met her husband, Lakeram when they were students together at Guyana Oriental College. Lake and Lena married on February 3rd, 1967 at Brickdam Cathedral, Georgetown. Lena worked for a few years in the offices of Barrister of Law Bernard Desantos before starting her family. Lake and Lena went on to have two sons, Tyron and Mark.

The family of four left Guyana in 1975 and headed to Toronto, Canada which is where they call home today. Lena was very active in the family church, St. Charles Borromeo, where she was a lector, choir member and eventually a eucharistic minister.

In 2012 Lena became a grandmother for the first time with the birth of Aaron and again for the second time in 2013 with the birth of Rachel. Lena spoiled her two grandchildren on a regular basis. She introduced them to the family church at an early age as well as lessons on how to make salt fish stew and bake.

Always known for her pound cake and the famous Guyanese black cake, Lena often baked for family members’ birthdays. Aaron and Rachel’s friends got a taste of Grandma’s baking and “Grandma Cake” was widely requested by the neighbourhood kids.

Lena passed away on Sunday January 26, 2020 surrounded by her close family members.

Arrangements entrusted with Ward funeral home, WESTON Chapel, Toronto.
