Hemmerich KarlHEMMERICH, Karl Wilhelm - Dipl. Ing, P. Eng. - (May 12, 1942 - March 20, 2020) - It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Karl. After enduring, with great dignity, a devastating illness, he died on the 20th of March surrounded by his family

Karl is survived by his wife, Ingrid, his daughters, Katja and Andrea, and his grandchildren, Frederick and Eva.

Karl was born and educated in Germany and moved to Canada to work for the City of Toronto in 1978 until his retirement.

He enjoyed spending time with friends and family playing tennis, golf and bridge, and was a devoted patron of the Toronto symphony. Karl was also an avid model train enthusiast, a hobby he shared with his grandkids. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends in Canada and Germany.

“Wenn ihr mich sucht, sucht mich in euren Herzen. Habe ich dort eine
Bleibe gefunden, lebe ich in euch weiter.”
Rainer Maria Rilke

Due to COVID-19 precautions, a small private reception will be held at a later date.
