DErcole LuciaD'ERCOLE, Lucia - On March 20, 2020 at the age of 92. She was peacefully surrounded by her loving family during her last moments, and they held her hands as she was called to heaven.

Lucia was the adored wife of the late Amilcare D’Ercole.

Beloved mother to Joe D’Ercole, and second mother to Joe’s wife, Sandy D’Ercole.

Lucia was the deeply loved and cherished Nonna to her four grandchildren, Marco, Lucy, Natalie, and Joseph. Lucia showed her grandchildren the strongest and purest love and referred to them as her flowers and roses.

The D’Ercole family will forever feel incomplete without Lucia. Her love was unconditional and strong. She was the epitome of strength, courage, bravery, kindness, and love. Her smile could light up a room.

Lucia’s sense of humour, resilience, and unparalleled cooking will form her legacy. To the benefit of her entire family, she taught Sandy her best recipes, and her legacy will be carried out through every Sunday sugo.

Lucia was the heart and matriarch of the family. She will be deeply missed forever.

During this difficult time, the D’Ercole family finds comfort in knowing that Lucia is reunited with her husband in heaven. She is now the family’s beautiful guardian angel.

In light of current events, it is with very heavy hearts that the D’Ercole family has made the difficult decision to hold a private funeral with the immediate family in honour of Lucia. They sincerely appreciate your love, support, and prayers during this time.

A celebration of Lucia’s life will take place in the future.
