Robinson IonaROBINSON, Iona - (January 3, 1930 - March 25, 2020)

Our mother was a very quiet person, she said very little. However she was a great listener and she was very caring.

When our older brother died leaving his newborn son, my mother cared and nurtured him with loving kindness.

“Oh Hallelujah, Oh Hallelujah”

I believe that there was never a day that she failed to give God his highest praise. If you told her a happy story she would laugh about it and would shout - “HALLELUJAH!” If it was a sad situation she would still praise God and say “hallelujah, hallelujah have mercy.”

She was a hard worker, before she came to Canada she worked harvesting fruits to be sold at the market. Our mother cared for her mother until her last day. In the same way my sister Paulette cared for her until her passing. A few years ago I was troubled by a problem and I expressed to her that it was the worst time for such a problem. My mother turned to me in a quite voice saying “my dear there is never a good time for bad things to happen.” Thank you for everything, we love you always, rest now in heaven.

“Oh Hallelujah, Oh Hallelujah.”

Arrangements entrusted with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Lawrence Ave. E., West Hill, Ontario. Graveside service planned for April 11th at Highland Memory Gardens, Toronto.
