PUSZTAI, Maria - (March 8, 1936 – April 9, 2020)
Maria passed away peacefully on April 9, 2020. Born in Kisvarda, Hungary on March 8, 1936.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Ferenc (Frank) Pusztai of 61 years.
After the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, they arrived in Canada after spending a year in a refugee camp in Austria. Maria was a proud parent to Kathi and Tony (Leslie).
Maria was a doting grandmother to Misty (Kathi) and Brody and Carly (Tony).
Maria was the eldest of five sisters and is survived by Valeria, Jolanda and Katalin, all of Hungary.
Cherished sister Elizabeth, who also immigrated to Canada, predeceased her.
Maria was an avid gardener and was proud of winning awards by the Garden Club in East York.
Maria will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
