Stanois ChristosSTANOIS, Christos - It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christos Stanois on May 19, 2020 at the age of 89.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Eleni of 66 years, his children Sam (Freda), Freda (Sotiri), his loving grandchildren Valerie (Cosmo), Eleni (Evan), Chris (Maria), Sophia (Loanny), and great grandchildren Sophia and Nikoletta.

Christos will also be missed by his many friends and relatives.

Christos was born on June 14, 1930 in the village of Alona, Florina, Greece. He later became one of the founding members of the Society of Alonon Aristotelis here in Toronto. He was an active member in the Greek Community of Toronto and Pan-Macedonian Association for many years and was also the founder of the Pan Macedonian Dance Group.

He was very proud of his Greek heritage and his valued contributions were recognized by many throughout the years. He had a love for the Greek Orthodox church and offered his services as a cantor.

He had a huge personality and outgoing nature which awarded him many long lasting friendships and he will be missed greatly.

Due to the restrictions around the Covid 19 pandemic, there will be no public viewing. A live stream of the funeral service will be available at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 21st from St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.
