KENT, John Ian - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the age of 86.
Loving husband to Carmen of 59 years.
Devoted father to Stephen (Kim) and Lisa (Matthew).
Proud grandfather of Sydney, Amanda, Tyler, Alissa and Jordan.
John was born on October 18th, 1933 in Montreal, Quebec to Elsie Higden and George Kent. He was welcomed with open arms by older sister Marjorie.
As a young man, he learned to work hard and eventually became a Senior Manager at CN Rail, where he met the love of his life, Carmen.
John loved music, hockey and spending time exploring the world, whether it be through travel or history books in his office at home.
He was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to all, and he will be greatly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Due to COVID-19, there will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in memory of John to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
