McNaughton MaxineMCNAUGHTON, Maxine Muriel - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maxinen on Thursday, May 21, 2020 in her 87th year.

Maxine was born in Brampton on March 25th, 1933 and was the only child of Ken Patterson and Edith (nee Strangways).

Maxine is survived by her daughters Karey Grisdale (Rick), and Kyla Van Culin (Jason Benedict).

She will be missed by her grandchildren Courtney (David Heinstein), Jourdan Van Culin (Alex Mithoefer) and Leah Van Culin, as well as her 4 great grandchildren: Avi and Charlie Heinstein and Ama and Taya Mithoefer.  Her cuddles will be missed by Tees, Reason and Rhyme.

As an only child, Maxine reached out to others and created family out of friends. She was a trailblazer, owning her own renovation company and having a lifelong career in sales and real estate. She was flipping houses before it was fashionable to do so. She loved working as a Real Estate agent in both Ontario and Florida. It suited her personality...meeting new people and helping them buy their new home Maxine was always the life of the party and lived life to the fullest.

She loved the water and spent summers on Lake Simcoe and winters on the Gulf coast of Florida. She found great enjoyment in travelling and shopping. Maxine was so proud of her two daughters and her three granddaughters and her grand-dogs brought her so much joy.

Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Riverglen Haven Nursing Home for their care of Maxine.

In memory Maxine, donations may be made to Riverglen Haven Activity Fund or Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation.
