ROSENBERG, Arthur - It is with great sadness that we announce that our father passed away peacefully at Baycrest Apotex Centre on Sunday, May 24, 2020 as a result of complications from Parkinson's disease.
Arthur was born on November 13, 1934 in Poland. In 1939, his parents fled to Siberia until the end of the war. His family immigrated to Toronto in 1949, where he attended Harbord Collegiate until he left to work in the family business.
In 1954, he married his high school sweetheart and they celebrated 65 years of marriage last year.
Everyone knew him as a caring and kind man always willing to help out his friends and family. For over 70 years he maintained and cherished a close circle of friends who were and will always be a huge part of our family's life. He was a great sports enthusiast and an excellent athlete.
Arthur leaves behind his loving wife Gloria, his children Toby & Marty York, Linda, and Howard & Katherine.
He was an amazing Zaidi to his grandsons Justin and Brendan York and Benjamin Rosenberg.
Loving older brother and brother-in-law to Harry and Renee, Miriam Rosenberg and Barbara and Herbert Silber.
He will be missed and always remembered with love.
During this time, shiva will be private but the family welcomes phone calls and messages.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2020
