Gladstone DavidGLADSTONE, David - Passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020.

David was the eldest child with three sisters. He represented his high school on "Reach for the Top", clinching his credentials as a walking encyclopedia.

After graduating from McGill and Carlton with degrees in engineering, David had an illustrious career as a research scientist for the Canadian government.

David became a passionate advocate for preserving the heritage and parks of Ottawa. He was one of the main writers/photographers for a weekly Ottawa publication and supported passionately a local band. It was because of his Canadian pride that he developed the persona 'Captain Canuck' every July 1st.

David never complained through all the indignities and pain that primary progressive Multiple Sclerosis brought him.

He will be deeply missed by his family and all those who had the good fortune to know him.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, June 5, 2020
