TROY, Gordon Thomas - December 22, 1923 - June 2, 2020 - WWII Veteran - Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre.
Predeceased by loving wife Mary.
Predeceased by parents Thomas and Freda Troy, sisters Beatrice, Margaret and Vera, brother Robert and nephew and friend Loran O’Neill.
Survived by sister Gertrude McParland (Ottawa) and niece Teresa Heffern (Sunderland).
Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.
Gordon was a WWII Veteran, He served in the Canadian Infantry Corps in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. He was wounded in action April 24, 1945.
Gordon was a proud Canadian member of the Greatest Generation.
He was lovingly cared for by the excellent staff at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre (LTSE) in his final year.
He will be entombed with his wife Mary at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
