Cannella AngeloCANNELLA, Angelo - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Angelo Cannella on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the age of 81 years.

He was a loving husband to his wife Lina for 56 years.

Devoted father to his children, Frank (Felicia), Paul (Tiziana), Mary (Remo).

The dearly loved Nonno of Gabriella (Joey), Amanda (Stefano), Daniela, Sabrina, Anthony, Julia, Sophia, Olivia, Sonia and proud Bisnonno to Mia.

Son of the late Francesco and Maria and predeceased by his brothers Giuseppe (‘Pepino’) and Luca.

Angelo was born on April 9, 1939 in Corleone, Sicily. He married the love of his life, Lina, in 1964 and together they immigrated to Canada a year later to begin a new journey. Their first house was on Lansdowne in Toronto, but Angelo and Lina moved to their North York home and have resided there for the last 45 years. If the walls of their home could speak, they would speak of proud moments, time well spent with new and old friends, joyful celebrations and growing generations.

Providing a beautiful life for his three kids and wife, Angelo worked as a skilled tradesman, specializing in plaster and drywall for 50 years; A hardworking man who happily worked, but also made sure to enjoy life. He treasured annual trips to Acapulco with Lina, where they would spend their days in the company of friends. Spending time outside, fishing at the cottage or tending to his garden also brought him joy. Above all being a proud Father, Nonno, and Bisnonno is what he loved most.

Angelo will be remembered by many and forever missed. He is now enjoying a homemade glass of wine with angels, until we can all do so together again.

Arrangements with DeMarco Funeral Home, Toronto. The service will take place at St. Wilfrid's Roman Catholic Church, 1675 Finch Ave., Toronto on Friday, July 3rd, 2020 at 9:30am.
