Hrycyk PamelaHRYCYK, Pamela - (January 17, 1934 - June 29, 2020) - Pamela passed away peacefully at the Montmartre Health Centre-LTC in Saskatchewan surrounded by the love and prayers of her family, near and far.

Pamela was predeceased by Peter, her husband of 57 years, her parents Margaret and John, eight brothers, four sisters and her beloved son, Peter.

Pamela is survived by her daughters Margie (Don), Pam, and Katie (Steve), and her grandsons Aaron, Josh (Nicole), Cody, Peter, and Matthew. Pamela's greatest joy and pride was her family.

Pamela was born in Yorkshire, England. Pamela met Peter, the love of her life, on June 1, 1951. They immigrated to Canada in 1954 and were married in Victoria on March 15, 1955. They honeymooned on the train across Canada and settled in Sudbury, Ontario. Pamela worked as a bookkeeper in Sudbury and Chicago, where the family lived for eight years and in Toronto when the family returned to Canada.

Pamela was a loving wife and mother and was always there for her daughters and grandsons. She was our voice of reason, our strong supporter and our compassionate rock. She will continue to be the voice in our head, guiding us to be the better people she raised us to be. Some of Pamela’s interests were dancing, reading, knitting, gardening, old movies, fishing, crossword puzzles and traveling. She was involved in her union and was a lifelong supporter and volunteer for the New Democratic Party.

The family thanks the Montmartre Health Centre Long Term Care staff for their unwavering care and loving treatment of our Mom and Granny. In these times of Covid-19, they truly became her family when family members were restricted from visiting and were supportive of family in all ways.

Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W., Etobicoke, Ontario on Wednesday from 9 a.m.-11:00 a.m. A celebration of Pamela's life will follow in the Chapel. Interment will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens, Rexdale following the service.

**Live Streaming of the Celebration of Life Service will be available for family and friends who are unable to attend. Please contact the family at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for the particulars.

Donations in memory of Pamela to the Montmartre Health Centre-LTC-Trust B, Box 206, Montmartre, Saskatchewan S0G 3M0, the PKD Foundation of Canada (https://www.endpkd.ca/donate) or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
