SHWORIN, AronOn Thursday, July 30th, 2020, at Kensington Place Retirement Residence.

It is with great sadness that we announce that Aron Shworin passed away peacefully at the age of 97.

Beloved husband of Thea Wilkenfeld Shworin for 69 years, loving father and father- in-law of Rita and Len Katz, dear brother and brother-in-law of Katie and the late Walter Sorin and Sofie and the late Victor Wilkenfeld.

Cherished Zaidie and grandfather to Bryan Katz and Kerri Knudsen and Elana and Eli Ben-Porat. Devoted great-grandfather to Brandon, Adina and Kaitlyn Ben-Porat. Aron is lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews Naomi, David, Riva and Howard and their families.

The family is so grateful to Diana Cruzat and the staff at Kensington Place.

A Survivor of the Local Resistance in Lachva, which was then Occupied Russia during the Second World War, he subsequently entered the Russian Army and fought on the front lines alongside the Allies.

His warmth, humour, paintings, poetry and stories will be missed by all who had the good fortune to have known him.

Arrangements and ZOOM meeting info link with Benjamin's Park Chapel, Toronto.  Memorial Donations may be made to the Aron Shworin Memorial Fund, c/o The Benjamin Foundation.
