Grech PaulGRECH, Peter 'Paul' - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of (Peter) Paul Grech on Friday, July 31, 2020 at The Village of Humber Heights in Etobicoke, Ontario.

Less than two months shy of his 97th birthday, Paul passed away peacefully and is rejoining his late wife of 50 years Rose Grech (nee Buttigieg).

Loving father of Maureen (Kevin), Diana (Scott), Paul, Robert (Linda).

Caring grandfather of Austin, Rayna, Ethan and Daniel.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Paul was born in the island of Gozo Malta, in Nadur, the village of St. Peter and St. Paul. He spent most of his years as a Sea Man with his brother Joe from an older teenager to his late thirties.

After getting married, Paul and his beautiful bride came to Canada where they worked hard and raised their family, Paul's main job being a lead hand for a commercial painting company. They decided to run their own business once their children were in high school working long hours in various bakeries/deli's.

Once retired, Paul and Rose enjoyed their summers back home visiting with their siblings and friends but always looked forward to coming home to their family.

To the staff at Humber Heights, we are so very grateful for your exceptional and compassionate care of Paul for over four years, especially in these unprecedented times.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.

Given the circumstances, it will be a private family service and burial.
