SINGH, Lucille Jasoda - Lucille Jasoda Singh, 92 years old of Scarborough, Ontario, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 31, 2020.
Born in Essequibo, Guyana, she settled in Leguan, Guyana and later moved to Scarborough, Canada in 1981.
She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Hardat Singh (1989) and much-loved mother to seven children: Hyacinth Bissessar (Florida, USA), Sheila Singh, Esther Persaud, Jessie Singh, and Harold Singh (all in Canada), the late Rosalind Ally (2005: Florida) and Rachel Abdul (the UK).
Lucille’s extended family include sons-in-law John Bissessar, Andrew Persaud, Ken Singh and Allan Abdul and her daughter-in-law Nadia Singh.
Lucille was the beloved grandmother to fourteen wonderful grandchildren: Lisa Bissessar, Kim Persaud, Tenille Ally, David Bissessar, Darren Singh, Jason Ally, Alex Persaud, Justin Singh, Bruce Persaud, Don Michael Singh, Zeine Teeka, Shaun Singh, Natalia Singh and Stacey Singh And a cherished great-grandmother to nine great grandchildren: Brianna Nugara, Dominic Ruiz, Christopher Ruiz, Jacob Singh, Noah Singh, Sophia Singh, Joshua Singh, Aria Singh and Maya Singh.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7th at 12:00pm at Bridlewood Presbyterian Church. There will be an option to view the funeral service via livestream. If you would like to attend in this way, please cntoact Shaun Singh at
