Cresswell JoyceCRESSWELL, Joyce - We are deeply saddened by the loss of a devoted Joyce on August 4, 2020.

Daughter of Harvey and Ann Cresswell and sister to Harvey Cresswell (Ivy), Ross Cresswell (Audrey), Ron Cresswell (Marlene), Don Cresswell (Laura), and Carole Harding (Fred).

In addition to her siblings, Joyce was an aunt and second mother to 15 nieces and nephews and was also a ‘Great’ Aunt to numerous children for more than 50 years.

Joyce was a beloved caregiver and spent much of her time taking care of those around her.

Her passion was travel and she journeyed extensively throughout Europe and the UK. She also enjoyed spending time in Florida with Carole, where they made it a practice to visit the amusement parks and ride the roller coasters while they were there. Joyce’s last big adventure at the age of 75, was a 3-week journey to Sydney, Australia, completing one of the final items on her bucket list and creating a cherished lasting memory.

In her later years, Joyce often reminisced about time spent in New York seeing her musical idol, Frank Sinatra. His words inspired her, and she  lived her life with zest and vigour - and as the song says, “she did it her way”.

Joyce’s passion for life, tenacity and love for her family will be missed by us all.

Service Arrangements with McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, Scarborough on August 10, 2020 followed by interment.
