DeGiorgio Giovanni JohnDeGIORGIO, Giovanni 'John' - (April 7, 1978 - August 5, 2020) -

On behalf of all my family, I would like to begin by Thanking everyone who is here today. For those who have sent their condolences and paid their respects. We are blessed to have received countless phone call, text messages and emails.

On the early morning of August 5th, 2020, our lives were tragically changed forever. I know that our mom Rosana being the last person to share the phone call moments with John leaves him with loving peace. I know that Giovanni or as others would call him… (John, Gio, Scooby and Reg) is looking down on us with the greatest of smiles, feeling honored for everyone’s provided support.

Becoming a stepdad, becoming a family and becoming a father, we can all agree to say was John's most proud moments. Along with his marriage proposal on Christmas eve of 2013 to my mom Rosana where he stated loud and clear “She would be his for life”. As it was clearly shown and stated through the years……He Lived for Her as She will Forever Live for Him. Their songs “All of Me Loves All of You” and “ A Thousand Years” were truly compatible to their feelings and actions to each other. There was never a day they wouldn’t walk and hold hands, stand in the kitchen holding each other or take their evening showers together.

Forever in our memories will be John's first vacation away with my mom where he got to feel the ocean and taste the saltwater in Jamaica. After five years of engagement John and our mom’s dream came true, we as a family returned to Jamaica where they exchanged their vows with sand between their toes on Oct. 23, 2018.

John was a man of so many talents and brilliance when it came to cars or construction building and tools. He knew his stuff or was always eager to learn. He loved sticking to routine and always enjoyed his early morning walks before a workday with his 1st baby Sky our dog. He devoted himself to his company of work employment and enjoyed spending his workdays with his co-workers. Over the years he has made some great friendships which he so often spoke so fondly about and we thank you all for this.

John lived by and believed in and taught our family that family gatherings and moments are what matters the most in life. He also lived by and would state to those around him that it didn’t matter what other did or had to say because Karma would always pay. As we all know he was a man of anger and short temper but always overpowered with the love he shared. He was and forever will be our Hulk we Love.

We all join together to remember and yet will ever forget all that made John who he is. This is not a goodbye but a farewell until we see each other again. In the words of my mom and John to each other…. see you soon my Scooby Doo/Jellybean.

Arrangements are with Ward funeral home, Weston Chapel, Toronto.

The family has requested a dress code in honour of John's memory and keeping within his style, everyone is encouraged to please attend in casual dress, jeans and T-shirt.
