Ashley IsabellaASHLEY, Isabella Marie - Together our family celebrates the life of Isabella Marie Ashley. On Monday, August 10, 2020, Isabella passed away after 98 incredible years.

She’ll be reunited with her husband, the late George Ashley, as well as so many family and friends she missed dearly. Isabella will always be in the hearts of those who called her ‘Mom’, ‘Grandma’, ‘Great-Grandma’, ‘Aunt Isabel’, ‘Mrs. Ashley’ and ‘friend’.

She leaves behind a beautiful family, including her son David (Jean) and daughter Diane (Geoffrey). Isabella’s grandchildren Patrick (Samantha), Jennifer, George and Breanne (Geoffrey) will always cherish their Grandma Ashley; along with her great grandchildren Kristen, Isabel and Georgia. Isabella was also the proud and loving aunt of Nancy Jeanne (Frank) and Carole (Gordon).

Proud of her Scottish heritage, Isabella celebrated her family’s history and passed the stories and traditions from ‘The Old Country’ to her children and grandchildren. She had the most beautiful singing voice and loved to dance, knit and bake. You could often find her with a Merriam-Webster dictionary in hand and a Toronto Star crossword always in progress. For Isabella, there was no greater gift than family, and time spent with those she loved most made occasions like Christmas her favourite time of the year.

Her strength and determination, compassion and sheer love for life was palpable, making her the life of every party and a woman no one could ever forget.

Those who knew Isabella will always remember her sweet smile, infectious sense of humour, warm embrace and generous spirit. There will never be another like her. We are blessed to have had so much love and happiness for so many years. Isabella will always live in our hearts.

Visitation and Funeral Arrangements with Ridley Funeral Home, Etobicoke.

In lieu of flowers, and if desired, donations to the Lung Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
