Attfield MichaelATTFIELD, Michael James - Michael Attfield born September 23, 1997, passed away tragically on Monday August 10, 2020 near Russell, Ontario at the tender age of 22.

Michael, an avid outdoorsman, loved to go fishing at all times of the day and night. He worked hard but played harder and brightened up any room with his ‘Mikey’ antics and infectious smile which will forever be missed by his parents Tracey and Kevin as well as his big brother Matthew (Sarah).

Michael's passing will leave a devastating impact on his Grandparents Allan Duckworth (predeceased Rita) and Carol and Alan Attfield.

He will be very deeply missed by his Aunt Kim Brennan, Uncle Bill, cousins Kyle and Alysha, cousin Paul and Aunt Karen (Elvis) and his endless list of long time friends and acquaintances.

Michael enjoyed his short life to the fullest. He got it right; he worked hard to enjoy every free minute from his endless days playing hockey to his middle of the night fishing adventures with his close friends Aidan G., Bahram M., Josh F. and Jordan K., to more recently being able to get Dad’s boat out of the garage at 4:00 or 5:00 am without waking Mom, Dad or Harley, our loving St Bernard.

Michael’s tragic death provides a reminder to enjoy every minute of your life to the fullest with family and friends as things can change in an instant.

Donations in Michael's memory can be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation or a charity of your choice.

Arrangements with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Scarborough Chapel (West Hill), ON. A public visitation will be held and information will be added to the funeral home's website shortly.

Michael's funeral service will be a private event, due to COVID capacity restrictions. However, once restrictions for large gatherings are lifted, the Attfield family would like to have a celebration of Michael's life that everyone can attend.

Please click the "Receive notifications" button on the funeral home's website on Michael's designated page to receive an email when there are any updates.
