SMITHEN, Rosalie Agatha - 1928-2020 - On Sunday August 9, 2020 Rosalie passed away after 92 incredible years.
She will be reunited with her partner Charles Jackson as well as family and friends she missed dearly.
Rosalie will be in the heart of those who called her “Tita (Mom)”, Grandma, and Great-grandma.
She leaves behind a beautiful family consisting of nine children; Cynthia, Emmanuel, Eustace, Valentino, Lilith, Nessie, Timothy, Lorenzo, and Ivan; sixteen Grandchildren, and seventeen Great-grandchildren.
Rosalie always ensure that her family was taken care to the best of her abilities, especially making sure that they ate well. For Rosalie food was love and as a result she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.
As her children become older, she found more time for other activities such as traveling. As a result, Rosalie would travel between Saint Croix USVI and Canada during the winter months to escape the Canadian winter, spend time with old friends and family, and enjoy the sunny beaches of the Virgin Islands. Tita, we will always cherish your memories with love and gratitude.
The family would also like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Toronto Western Hospital.
Visitation will be held at the Lynett Funeral Home, Toronto on August 19th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM followed by the service at 12:00 PM.
