Curnoe QueenieCURNOE, Queenie Isobel (Moston) - Queenie Curnoe (Moston), at the age of 96, passed away on September 12, 2020.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Earl Curnoe (September 12, 2009), and her daughter Sheryl Anne Curnoe (June 13, 2017).

Queenie enjoyed her Tim's coffee, and donuts, Bentley, Sudoku puzzles and watching all sports. She was a great Maple Leafs fan. She will be remembered for her great love for her family, her warm hugs and for the best butter tarts.

She was a great adventurer who, with her sister June, ages 16 and 17, left their small town for Toronto. While June enlisted in nursing, Queenie signed up for the Royal Canadian Air Force at the age of 18, being stationed in London England to serve during WWII.

She married her husband William of 65 years in London, England, returning to Canada in 1945. They shared many happy years, travelling to Australia, New Zealand, China, Europe, the Caribbean…  Queenie loved music and dancing. She did Tai Chi well into her late eighties.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Pamela), their children Jennifer (Barry), Gregory (Daniela), their daughter , Josefa. Sheryl’s children, Terry (Darelle), their children Ruby and Nixon, Hope (Myles) their son Lyric, Steve (Fanny) and Suzanne (Ron) and their children Andre (Nicole), Rene (Pamela), their children Ethan and Paige, and Mara (Paul) and their daughter Sofia.

A private family gathering will take place, and there will be no funeral service due to COVID restrictions.

In Lieu of flowers a Memorial donation may be made to Bethell Hospice, Inglewood, Ontario. Arrangements with Scott funeral home, West Toronto chapel.
