STOJSIN, Dimitiros 'Jim' MitaThe Man, The Myth, The Legend.

Passed suddenly Sunday September 13, 2020 at the age of 61, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Diagnosed with Glioblastoma in January 2020, Jim fought through 2 brain surgeries and many rounds of treatment.

Jim and his wife Brenda spent 2 fabulous years in Corona Del Mar, CA after Jim landed his dream job. Sadly, their time was cut short when Jim was rushed into emergency brain surgery in California. After, he had to return home to Canada and fight for his life, not able to return to his home away from home. He enjoyed the last few months of his life surrounded by his loved ones, seeking as much quality time and adventure as his body would permit.

Jim was a loving husband, devoted father, published author, conspiracy theorist, blog writer, alien hunter, animal lover and self-taught computer guru. Jim was not your average man, he pushed the envelope, thought independently, and walked to the beat of his own drum, all things that made others love the man they endearingly called “BigStoj”.

Jim grew up in Toronto, the only child of Milorad and Helen Stojsin, both immigrants to Canada. He married the love of his life Brenda and welcomed 3 boys into the world. Jim will forever be missed by his wife Brenda, his sons, Ryan and his partner Cheyanne, Kyle and his wife Amy, Craig and his wife Angelica.

Jim has many extended friends and family members who were more like siblings that will dearly miss their “brother”.

“Remember when you were young
You shone like the sun
Shine on you crazy diamond”
~ Pink Floyd

To honour Jim’s wishes, cremation has occurred. A celebration of life has been planned. Details to follow. Arrangements with Tranquility cremation and burial services.

In leu flowers a GoFund me page has been set up to aid the family with Jim’s substantial medical bills incurred in California. The page can be found by clicking this link: Jim’s Family Fund & Medical Expenses, organized by Craig Stojsin
