PANAGIOTOPOULOS, Stelios 'Steve' - It is with great sadness that the family of Stelios Panagiotopoulos announce his passing on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at the age of 85 years.
Beloved husband to Panagiota (Toula) (nee Theofilogiannakos).
Father to Maria (Gus) and Chris (Maria).
Grandfather to Sotiri, Constantina, Paige and Stelio.
Steve, the youngest of six children, was born in Athens, Greece and moved to Toronto in 1955. An electrical technician, Steve built a long career working for companies such as Ford Motor Co., and Philips.
Loved by his family, Steve will be remembered as a selfless father and grandfather who put his family above himself. A humble man, a true gentleman, Steve appreciated a good “dad joke,” great company, enjoyed watching all Toronto sports teams and danced a legendary zebekiko. He will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Hellenic Care – Scarborough who helped care for Steve in his final years.
Arrangements with Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Thorncliffe Park Drive. Interment to followed.
