Richler MarshaRICHLER, Marsha June (Decker) - Born in La Tuque, QC June 28, 1945. Marsha died at home, in Toronto on November 15, 2020 surrounded by her family and her dog, held by her children until her last breath was taken – just like she wanted it to be.

Predeceased by Earle Decker and Annette Decker (née Duchesne).

Marsha June leaves to mourn her two adoring children, Dvorah Joy Richler (Steve Halpin) and David Jonathan Richler (Kim Mackay), as well as her two grandsons, Noah and Samuel Halpin, who were her biggest fans, and Kugel, her partner-in-crime poodle.

Marsha also leaves siblings Don (Le Nga), Chris (Jenifer), Karla, and Louise (Gerry), numerous and adored nieces and nephews (who called her Tante June or Auntie Marsha, depending), several great nieces and nephews, beloved cousins, and long-standing friend.

Everyone would agree Marsha June was an undeniable class act. She was an uncanny conversationalist, super-spreader of laughter, adopted daughter of Newfoundland – her true home. Montrealer, New Yorker, Torontonian, Italophile, world traveler, debrief scheduler, lover of dogs (with extra wuza wuz), amateur veterinarian, pro last-minute Halloween costume designer, unabashed champion of bilingualism.

Marsha was taken from us by pancreatic cancer, cruelly and rapidly. The family is grateful to Dr. Joshua Wales, her nurse Katarina Berta, and the entire team at the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care. We also thank the Palliative Team at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (Dr. Patricia, Tharsika, Lorna and team), and Dr. John Kim and his radiation team.

In memory of Marsha, we invite you to donate to either the Temmy Latner Centre, or your favourite dog shelter. As well, please share a piece of toast with your dog today in honour of our Mummy.

Memorial service to be held in Brigus, Newfoundland, in 2021.

Mini Mummy Marsha – we love you more than words can tell. Magnifico!.
