Spiers MargaretSPIERS, Margaret Robertson (Christie) - It is with great sadness to our family near and far that we say goodbye to a remarkable woman, Margaret Robertson Spiers, who passed away peacefully at Princess Margaret Hospital on Saturday, November 14th, 2020 in her 79th year.

Margaret, Marg, Mum, Nannie to those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her. Always brave and thinking of others, even in illness. You could not have met a kinder soul with the perfect of amount of spirit.

A loving wife to Ian for 59 years, beloved Mum to Craig and Karen, Nannie to Jenna (Chase), Dillon (Stephanie), Kearstin (Kevin) and Eva and loved family members in Scotland. Most recently, her Great-Grandson Logan came along and stole the number one spot in her heart.

If you were lucky enough to be one of Marg's 'sunshines' it really did not matter where you fell on the list, she loved fiercely and there was room for all.

As deeply as she loved, we loved her more. We take comfort in knowing that somewhere up there she is knitting away, watching over all of us. Maybe the sky needed some extra warmth and they certainly got it.

One of her favourite things was receiving fresh flowers and it was a sentiment she carried from her Mum saying many years ago about giving or receiving them while you can appreciate the beauty. She would love and be smiling if you bought flowers for someone you love and care about with this sentiment in mind.

Whenever any of us said goodbye to her, she always said "It's not goodbye, it's see you again." We will love and miss you always. xx

Arrangements entrusted with Roadhouse and Rose funeral home, Newmarket.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
