FORSHNER, Norman Douglas – In his 100th year peacefully passed away November 21, 2020, at Bethany Lodge in Markham.

Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia on May 6, 1921, he was a son of Frank and Blanche (VanBuskirk) Forshner.

Norman spent most of his life in the Toronto area. He was in fellowship with Christians who meet at the Unionville Gospel Hall.

Norman will be sadly missed by his family and all those who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife Pauline (Howard) Forshner; son, Donald (Cheryl) Forshner, St. Thomas; son, Norman (Cecile) Forshner, Welland; sister, Dorothy Jones, New Minus NS; sister, Donna Marie Fraser, Amherst NS.

He was the much loved and admired grandpa of Chelsea Forshner, Hamilton; Trisha (Thomas) Copley, Hamilton; Tanya Forshner, Oshawa; Brittany (Stephen) Blackwood, Carmanville NF; Dylan Forshner, Toronto.

He was a great grandpa to Mason, Adrienne and Harrison; Logan, Alexis and Scarlett; Amberlyn, Alaina and Everly.

He was predeceased by his first wife Ruby (Taylor) Forshner; brother, Frederick Forshner, Wallace Bay NS.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be no in person attendance so the funeral service will be live streamed on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 1:00 pm EST. Link; https://video.ibm.com/channel/G97paEktGSn . Committal will be in Whitby immediately following the streamed time of fellowship with no in person attendance.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of choice.
