REGO, Silverio De Frias Do - It is with such deep sadness to announce the passing of a cherished and respectable husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Silverio Rego on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at the age of 90.
Silverio was predeceased by his late beloved wife, Judite. They celebrated 65 years of marriage on December 31st, 2020.
Silverio was a loving and devoted father to Margarida (Jose Luis), predeceased by his infant child Jose, Joe, Silverio (Lina), Katarine (David), and Brian (Maria).
Beloved, caring, supportive and kind grandfather to Janet, Cheryl, Jeffrey (Jessica), Derek (Christine), Emily, Candice (Mehmet), Darryl and joyous great-grandfather to Eliana and Michael. He was also a step-grandfather to Jon, Jason, Dustin, Dylan and Devin (Amanda) and step-great-grandfather to Winston and Hudson.
Youngest and dear brother of predeceased Jacinto, Gabriel, Manuel (Virginia), Maria (Manuel), Jose (Izilda), Gabriel (Francelina), Maria do Gloria (Silverio), David (Hortencia), and Urania (Silvestre).
Silverio was the patriarch of our family and leaves behind a substantial legacy in his honour. He will be fondly remembered by his many godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends, and will be deeply missed by all.
In memory of Silverio, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada.
Silverio was a person of deep faith.
Due to the current pandemic crisis, a memorial mass and celebration of life, in his honour will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with Scott funeral home, Mississauga chapel.
