HAWRYLUK, Ksenia (Sandra) (nee KRUK) - Peacefully, at Fountain View Community Care, in Toronto, on Monday, January 18, 2021, just days short of her 95th birthday.
Ksenia Kruk had a long, at times arduous, life.
She was born January 25, 1926 in Ternopol, Ukraine.
While still a teenager, she was forcibly relocated to Germany to work in a labour camp. After liberation, she lived in a displaced persons' settlement where she met her future husband Ignat (John) Hawryluk, who convinced her to relocate to Canada.
They moved to Toronto, worked hard, became model Canadian citizens, and lived a modest comfortable life. John predeceased her in 1984.
Ksenia is survived by her loving son Stephen, daughter-in-law Fiorenza, granddaughter Stephanie and great-grandchildren William, Sloane and Sebastian.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 in North York, ON.
