Ivanochko IhorIVANOCHKO, Ihor Zenon - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ihor on January 18, 2021.

“Little Ihor”, or “Ihor Z” as we fondly called him, was born in Potochishche, Ukraine on July 6th, 1925 to Antonia and Alexander Ivanochko.

He is pre-deceased by his sister Nadia and niece Olivia.

He is mourned by his sister Oksana, nieces Vicki and Iryna and nephew Marko.

He leaves behind his wife of 62 years Yvonne (Prosymiak), his heart-broken daughters Daria (John), Tamara (Ron) and Sasha and grandchildren Danton (Victoria), Julian (Leora) and Ivanka.

When his daughters think of their Tato, they think of his charm, flirty-ness, philosophizing, sun-worshipping, spontaneous love song singing, gentlemanliness, incredible sweetness, and unconditional love. He was also tough as nails and resilient. However, on January 5th, he tested positive for COVID and was hospitalized with pneumonia on the 11th. He took his last breath at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in the wee hours of January 18, 2021.

We will be celebrating his life privately for the time being and will not have a public service at this time.

In lieu of gifts, we ask you to consider making a donation to the Ivan Franko Homes, where both our parents have lived and have been tenderly cared for the past several years. You can contact them here: https://ivanfrankohomes.com/how-to-support

Rest in peace Tato. We love you.
