MICHAEL, Kirk - Union Man It is with great sadness that we announce the death of beloved father and husband, Kirk Michael, at the age of 65.
He was a dedicated husband to Sharon for 30 years, and father to Gemma, Sophie, and Nick.
Kirk passed away suddenly, but peacefully in his sleep on Monday, January 18, 2021.
For anyone who knew Kirk, he will be remembered for his loud laugh and gregarious personality.
He was always ready to tell anyone of his progressive views on worker's rights, amongst other socialist views and strong opinions.
He was also an avid New Democratic Party supporter and party member.
A dedicated member of the International Union of Operating Engineers for over 40 years, he will be missed at union meetings where he was a recording secretary.
Mostly, Kirk will be missed by his loving wife and family in Canada and England, and by his many, many wonderful friends.
