Campbell AlexCAMPBELL, Alexander McPherson lll - January 19, 1936 - January 21, 2021 -

In our hearts forever, we announce our patriarch Alexander Mcpherson Campbell lll passed away peacefully at North York General Hospital, Toronto, in the early morning hours of January 21, 2021 at 85 years of age.

Born in Montreal, Quebec to parents Charlotte Elizabeth Wilson and Alexander McPherson Campbell II.

Alexander leaves behind 5 children: John William Campbell, Darlene Cynthia Campbell, Barbara Ann Campbell, Allen McPherson Campbell and Michael Wayne Campbell.

8 grandchildren: Crystal, Steven, Tiffany, Shana, Ashley, Samantha, Amanda, James Dillion. 6 great-grandchildren, Kaysha, Austin, Alex, Avery, Mia, Olivia.

Fondly remembered as a father figure by many, whom he loved as his own. Big Papa, as many of his great-grandchildren called him, was an avid John Wayne fan and probably owned every movie or collector's item available. His love for horses was beyond any before him, sharing that love with his granddaughter Tiffany.

He had battled many health issues throughout his life to which he fought strong and stubbornly. Whilst saying the only actual words he could (and a lot) "Jesus Christ", he was able to convey what he wanted or needed quite well.

His Caregivers for the last 15 years were none other than his daughters Darlene and Barbara. Luckily, until his most recent and final hospital stay; he was able to live comfortably in his home, happily partaking in his own hobbies often, and surrounded by a loving family.

To all who knew and loved him, he will be deeply missed. For generations to come, we will continue to hold him within our hearts and our memories.

Walk free. Gone, but never forgotten.

Alexander's family will be holding a private gathering at the Highland Funeral Home on Sunday,  January 24th at 11am. Due to the ongoing pandemic, as well as Alexander's final wishes, this will be a small group of up to 10 people and accessible virtually for family members and others. Please send any flowers to this location.

"If there ever comes a day when we can't be together,
keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever."
