BAYATON, Milagros “Mila” Frias - Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, February 22, 2021 at age 85.
Loving daughter, sister and caring aunt to her many nephews and nieces.
Mila was born in Manila on 12 April 1935 and moved to Canada in 1972, settling in Toronto to build a career as an accountant for the Toronto Dominion Bank.
A devoted Catholic throughout her life, she enjoyed travelling with her friends and dedicated her life to her family. She will continue to be loved and missed by all who cared deeply for her.
Mila was preceded in death by her parents, Filomeno and Lourdes, her step-siblings Vicenta, Ricardo and Amado, her siblings Rogelio and Azucena, and her niece Rowena.
She is survived by her siblings Adoracion, Eduardo, Edith and Edgar, her in-laws Amelia, Loreto, Candido and Maria, her nephews and nieces James Joseph and Mary Jane, Ronaldo, Bernadette and Manuel, Rosanna and Ronel, Rogelio, Gordon and Jaimee, Lourdes and Manuelito, Anna and Noel, Roberto, Kyle, Lauren, Megan, Keane, Gillian, Chloe and Kayleigh, her grand nephews and grand nieces Nadine, Jasper, Nathan, Aidan, Rae, Arianna, Francesca, Jenna and Andre.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mila’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
Funeral Mass will be held at Precious Blood Parish on Friday, February 26, 2021.
