Fiorino CarmelaFIORINO, Carmela Fiorino - Passed away on March 1, 2021 in her 90th year.

Predeceased by her daughter Pina, Carmela is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Antonio, her adoring children Gino (Tina), Rosa (Alberino), Mary, John (Sandra) and Anna, her beautiful grandchildren Elio, Angela (Gabe), Amanda (Dante), Kristina (James), Casandra (Stefano), Cory, Julia, Melissa and her great grandchildren, Domenic, Ariana, Isabella and Leo.

Carmela is also survived by her siblings Maria, Angelina, Adelina (Pasquale), Giuseppe, Amelia (Salvatore), Ida (Francesco), Mario (Josie), Gianni and her many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Born in Dipignano on February 3rd, 1931 Carmela started her journey to Canada on a boat headed to Halifax in 1956 with her husband Antonio. After a brief stint working at Margaret’s Doughnuts, Carmela soon settled into her real passion as the doting matriarch of her amazing family.

Not only did Carmela make raising six children in her small family home in East York look easy, she made it fun. A strong, selfless, and caring woman she devoted her life to raising her children and grandchildren - a beacon of unconditional love. Although Carmela struggled with many health issues in the latter part of her life, her strength and humour remained a constant.

Her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and wicked sense of humor is what most will fondly remember - but for her family we will remember her always for being the woman who made us whole.

The funeral service of Mrs. Carmela Fiorino will take place on Friday, March 5th at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home.
